FEDHASA, the Federated Hospitality Association of Southern Africa, initiated the Imvelo Awards for Responsible Tourism in 2002.
Responsible Tourism Guidelines are used as a basis for judging entrants, who vary from privately owned to large corporate hospitality and tourism establishments.
