Last year, the Event Greening Forum (EGF) contracted the University of Pretoria to research the use of wood in exhibition stands and its disposal after a single use, to better understand the sustainability challenges it may pose (especially in terms of waste management) and to put forward best practice recommendations. This year, the EGF is hosting a series of events to share the report findings. Please find details for the first two of these events below.

Durban: EGF Wood Research Feedback
AAXO and South African Tourism are hosting a networking event, and the EGF has been invited to present its wood research findings. EGF member Justin Hawes will give an overview of the initial concerns that motivated the research, as well as what the research covered, what the findings were, and suggestions for how the industry can tackle this issue responsibly.
